Quran Page 16: The Trial of Magic and Harut & Marut (Surah Al-Baqarah 102-105)
๐ About Surah Al-Baqarah (Page 16)
Page 16 is primarily dedicated to Verse 102, which is the longest verse on this page and provides the Quranic stance on magic. It clears the name of Prophet Sulaiman (A.S.) and describes two angels, Harut and Marut, sent to Babylon as a test. The page teaches us that magic is a deception that can separate a man from his wife, but it cannot harm anyone except by Allah's leave. The page concludes by reminding us that Allah chooses for His mercy whom He wills.

๐ English Translation (Sahih International)
102. And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic...
104. O you who have believed, do not say [to the Prophet], "Ra'ina" but say, "Unzurna" and listen. And for the disbelievers is a painful punishment.
105. ...But Allah selects for His mercy whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
