Quran Page 13: Covenants and the Rejection of Messengers (Surah Al-Baqarah 84-88)

📖 About Surah Al-Baqarah (Page 13)

In Page 13, Allah (SWT) reminds the Children of Israel of the specific covenant not to shed the blood of their own people or evict one another from their homes. It exposes the hypocrisy of believing in part of the Book while disbelieving in another. The page also mentions the clear signs given to Prophet Musa (A.S.) and Isa (A.S.), and how arrogance led many to reject the truth, claiming their hearts were "wrapped" or "unreachable."

🌍 English Translation (Sahih International)

84. And [recall] when We took your covenant, [saying], "Do not shed each other's blood or evict one another from your homes."
85. ...So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part? Then what is the recompense for those who do that among you except disgrace in worldly life...
87. ...And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Pure Spirit.
88. And they said, "Our hearts are wrapped." But, [in fact], Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so little is it that they believe.
