Boycott for Justice: Standing Against Complicity in Genocide

There was a line that was crossed, the violence and terror, that has been going on for a century, the murder of innocent children, men and woman. We have seen it happen in our own country, it is difficult not to empathize.
There has been calls for boycott of companies before for different causes, some of them we can relate to, some of them we can understand, some of them we were unsure of. With varying level of severity.

One thing is a bottom line, have the blood of innocents on our hands on the day we stand before our lord, those very innocents who will share the dais with our lord on the same day, same place and same time, on the day of judgement. It is important that we ensure that we have no part in spilling the blood of innocent children, men and women, while we sit in our country, consume certain products, use certain online services, or online shopping platforms, or subscribe to their services.

Boycotting products developed or funded by entities involved in genocide can be driven by several humanitarian reasons:

Moral Responsibility: Supporting such products indirectly funds and legitimizes the actions of those responsible for atrocities. By boycotting, consumers can take a stand against violence and oppression.
Economic Pressure: Boycotts can financially impact companies and regimes, potentially forcing them to reconsider their actions. Economic pressure has historically been a powerful tool in promoting change.
Solidarity with Victims: Boycotting shows solidarity with the victims of violence and genocide. It sends a message that the global community does not condone such actions and stands with those affected.
Raising Awareness: Boycotts can draw attention to issues that might otherwise be ignored. They can spark conversations and increase public awareness about the humanitarian crises.
Promoting Ethical Practices: Encouraging ethical consumption can lead to a broader shift in corporate practices. Companies may adopt more humane policies to avoid being boycotted.
By choosing not to support these products, consumers can contribute to a larger movement advocating for peace and human rights. It's a way to use purchasing power to promote ethical and humane practices globally.

During the Indian struggle of independence, as part of non-cooperation movement, through non-violent means, or ahimsa, protesters would refuse to buy British goods, adopt the use of local handicrafts (by spinning khadi, etc.), and picket liquor shops. there were other additional steps that were also taken. We hope that a two state solution would take shape soon and put an end to this horrific chain of events.

Back to the boycott, its neither wise or fair to call for boycott of companies that has nothing to do with the atrocities that are being committed. Hence the Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC), the largest coalition in Palestinian society that is leading the global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, salutes activists, organizations and institutions worldwide that have expressed meaningful solidarity with our urgent struggle to stop Israel’s unfolding genocide in Gaza by escalating boycott and divestment campaigns. The spreading boycotts of complicit Israeli and multinational corporations can be effective if done strategically
